BREAKFAST AT SNOOZE

This eatery is extremely popular, but well worth your wait! It has three locations for your convenience. Snooze opened in Denver in 2006 with the belief that breakfast marks the beginning of a new day.Snooze has an eclectic atmosphere that will transport you to an old diner booth as you enjoy your coffee. The colors are bright, creative and leave you feeling awake and giddy.  On the menu, you’ll find twists on American classics such as BRAVOcado Toast, Juan’s Breakfast Tacos, and Pancake Flights!

MILE HIGH CITY

Denver is known as the Mile High City-but you don’t actually reach a mile above sea level until you stand on the steps of the Capitol. Take a trip to the Capitol building and stand on these steps where you’ll find The 15th step is engraved with the words “One Mile Above Sea Level.”

UNION STATION

Union Station is an ironic modern historical train station that is bursting at the seams with life. Before you even walk in, you will often find farmers markets and an array of people located in the restaurants near Union Station. The station still serves as a central train station and is a popular place for meeting for coffee and dinner.

Union Station houses several restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream, gift shops and a bar. A day pass on the train will make several stops throughout Denver including Union Station. You can also ride the train from Union Station to the airport for $9, but make sure you check the schedule and plan accordingly.

COFFEE AT ROLLING PIN BAKESHOP

I’m a sucker for good coffee and pastries. This little bake shop is located on Welton St. not far from downtown Denver and it will have you standing at the glass case with that gluttonous look on your face. Grab a Guava and Cheese Croissant, Apple Danish or treat yourself to a slice of French Silk Pie with a yummy cup of coffee. Your afternoon just got better!

ZEPS EPIQ SANDWICHES

If you’re looking for a low key place to grab dinner after a day of travel, this place is the spot. They pride themselves in being flavor frontier seekers and Colorado proud. Their menu is packed with unique flavor combinations that will not disappoint. Grab a sandwich and a beer and settle in for an Epiq flavor experience. *They also have great vegetarian options that can be requested vegan. My favorite was the BOULDERITE sandwich.

BREAKFAST AT ONEFOLD

This local restaurant has charm written all over it where it welcomes you in with its sunny decor. Here you will find a menu that centers around homestyle cooking with clean ingredients. Start your day with the tacos,  bacon fried rice, or the crepes! The portions are exceptional and will leave you well satisfied and ready to tackle the day.

DENVER ART MUSEUM

The Denver Art Museum is packed full of beautiful exhibits that are breathtaking. A morning or afternoon of art is time well spent. Check the website for tour schedules or stroll the exhibits at your own leisure. Tickets for Colorado and out of state visitors differ so be sure to check the ticket price beforehand.

STRANAHAN’S DISTILLERY TOUR

Stranahan’s is a small batch distillery in the heart of Denver. The whiskey is distilled and bottled in their facilities and you can tour the process. Spend your afternoon on a tour of the grounds or be apart of the bottling crew! The lounge is open throughout the week for cocktails and games as well. Check out the website for events and tour prices.

DINNER AT STEUBEN’S UPTOWN

Enjoy American eats in an upscale modern diner that prides itself in regional variety. You’ll find craft cocktails, Nashville Hot Chicken and housemade milkshakes! Highly rated by locals and featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, you won’t regret stopping in at Steuben’s.

BREAKFAST AT DENVER BISCUIT CO.

If you like giant chicken biscuits, then here you go! Denver people like to eat breakfast, especially popular places that are good! Have no fear though. If you must wait, this restaurant has coffee while you wait. Go on in and grab a cup and keep refilling it! It’s $3.00 and they’ll charge you at your table, but waiting with coffee isn’t so bad right? Genius.

Grab a Giant Cinnamon roll for the table (just do it!) and have fun browsing their variety of flavor packed chicken biscuits. Brunch done right.

COORS BREWERY TOUR

The Coors Brewery is located in Golden, Co, about 15 min to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Your free tour takes place in the world’s largest single-site brewery. The brewery experience includes a 30-minute self-paced tour and afterwards you can enjoy samples in the hospitality lounge. The Brewery has winter and summer hours so please check their website for more information. The Brewery does not allow purses, backpacks, bags or strollers into the facility. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and knowing more about the beer you drink.

RED ROCKS

There are way too many Red Rocks Tips to include in this one post, so be sure to look for a blog post just for Red Rocks if you’re interested in taking a trip here! Buy tickets to a concert or head over for a scenic hike. Your evening at Red Rocks will leave you surrounded in beauty and begging for more.

DINNER FAT SULLY’S PIZZA

There’s nothing I love more after a late night concert than late night pizza! Head back into Denver for some pizza by the slice. Yep, I said that right. And they are bigger than your face! Fat Sully’s Pizza is actually in the same building as Denver Biscuit Co. (They flip the restaurant at night). Order a house pie for the table or grab a different slice for everyone. Either way you go, it’s all good!

Whether you’re looking for a fun weekend getaway or a quick stop on your way to the slopes, you’ll find Denver to be jam packed with good eats and fun things to do.
