A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Kaitlin and this is Speak Honey. I love kind words, craft wine, symphonies, traveling for culture, homemade salsa, essential oils, folk music and a good hat!
I met my husband Zach when I was 23 at a church camp where he pursued me with such intent that I had no choice but to add him on facebook. With his charm and wit, he convinced me to date him and within a month I was schoolgirl smitten with the guy who had won my heart forever. Within a year, we were married and moved to Zach’s hometown of Lufkin, Texas where I pursued a job as a Labor and Delivery nurse at the local hospital.
I studied nursing at the University of Texas at Tyler and knew that I would love mommas and babies! When I entered the work field I was not prepared for the give and take of Labor and Delivery. Everyday you give so much of your heart and some days there’s a big gaping hole left when you walk out the door. There came a point when I just needed more balance between nursing and pursuing new creativity in life.
After three years of marriage and daily life, Zach and I decided to make a change. Zach quit his full time job at a local graphic design shop in town and began a journey to pursue full time music; and he’s AMAZING! We took two travel nurse assignments to Houston and Memphis where we had many adventures and our marriage grew more than we could have imagined.
Now we’re back in Texas chasing dreams, traveling around and pursuing passions because we’re not holding back anymore. I am still helping moms with their special days but on a journey to find that creative balance! Life is too short to settle and I believe in fighting for your passions. “Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire”
